Ricky Burns believes next month’s fight against Kevin O’Hara is the most important of his career so far.

The 26-year-old will defend his Commonwealth featherweight title for the third time in Glasgow and is hoping victory will take him closer to a world title shot.

Club captain Rob Purdham has committed his future to Harlequins by signing a new contract that will run until the end of 2011.

The 29-year-old joined from Whitehaven in 2002 when the Super League side were then known as the London Broncos.
