The Rugby Football Union will take no further action against Harlequins players allegedly involved in using fake blood on four separate occasions. Boss Dean Richards and wing Tom Williams were banned after Williams’ ‘blood’ injury in a Heineken Cup clash against Leinster last season. But the RFU decided not to take further action because of suggestions other teams had used fake blood in the past. The RFU said it would set up a "game-wide taskforce" to review the practice. Richards resigned from his position at Quins on 8 August and admitted his guilt during a 14-hour independent committee meeting in Glasgow on 17 August.
