FRANK LAMPARD gave Guus Hiddink the perfect send-off at Chelsea with a brilliant FA Cup winner.
Lamps netted the decider 18 minutes from time after Didier Drogba had cancelled out Louis Saha’s strike after just 25 SECONDS.
Hiddink now returns to his full-time role as Russia coach having secured Chelsea’s first silverware in two years.
Lampard’s goal was his 20th of another superb campaign. He outfoxed Phil Neville on the edge of the box before unleashing a left-footed drive beyond Tim Howard.
The result gave Chelsea defender Ashley Cole a fifth FA Cup winners’ medal – a feat not achieved since the 19th century.
Saha’s effort was the fastest goal in FA Cup final history. But it will mean little to Everton after they were overpowered by the Londoners at a sun-baked Wembley.
Saha might have felt the FA Cup owed him one after previously missing four chances at playing in the showpiece.
The French star sat out one final with Newcastle and three while at Manchester United through suspension and injury.
His goal beat the 42-second strike by Roberto di Matteo for Chelsea against Middlesbrough in the 1997 final.
Chelsea could have felt aggrieved after TV replays showed Steven Pienaar was in an offside position when he received the ball in the build-up to the quick-fire opener.
But play carried on and when Michael Essien only partially cleared, Saha was quickly on to the loose ball and drilled a first-time effort past Petr Cech and inside the near post from 16 yards.
Chelsea eventually settled and after 14 minutes Essien had their first sight of goal with an instant snapshot that soared over.
Marouane Fellaini gave John Terry a scare as he ghosted in behind but he could not quite reach Pienaar’s fine cross.

Chelsea were back on level terms on 21 minutes as Drogba found space between Joleon Lescott and Joseph Yobo to emphatically head home Florent Malouda’s centre.
Two minutes later, Lampard tried his luck from 25 yards only to see the ball flash over.
